To help protect the environment, our clothing factory partner in Kenya uses solar for 25% of their power, reducing CO2 emissions. Our partner is also 100% water independent, harvesting rainwater for all their water needs. We chose this 100% cotton, wax-printed fabric (Kitenge) because of its historical and cultural significance in Kenya and Africa. The double-faced fabric is printed in rich colors with a labor-intensive technique of applying wax resin before submerging the fabric in dye, creating a refined print. More Materials and Innovations

The dress is in a flattering, minimal silhouette and comes with a belt and pockets. It fastens with dyed Indonesian mother-of-pearl buttons to finish off this elevated design.
