New York City, Eliza Christoph is an ethical luxury fashion brand with the mission of creating the world's most exquisite dresses, skirts, pants, shirts, kaftans, and silk scarves while improving women's livelihoods in Kenya. Eliza Christoph is a luxury fashion house founded between New York City and Nairobi, built on the belief that clothing should be both exquisite and ethical. The name itself—Eliza Christoph—is a tribute to its two co-founders: Elizabeth Njoroge Ramsey, Creative Director, and Christopher Ramsey, brand strategist and business lead. Together, Elizabeth and Christopher combined their shared vision, values, and names to create a brand that reflects global sophistication with African soul.
Born and raised in Nairobi and later New York, Elizabeth draws deep inspiration from the bold elegance of Kenyan women—where vibrant prints and tailored silhouettes are part of everyday life. Her designs blend the rich textures of African heritage with the refined modernism of New York, resulting in timeless pieces that empower and endure.
Christopher, a seasoned entrepreneur with roots in global business and creative industries, partnered with Elizabeth to shape Eliza Christoph into a purpose-driven brand rooted in storytelling, beauty, and impact. Their partnership bridges the artistic and operational—ensuring every piece reflects both design excellence and thoughtful execution.
At the brand’s company-owned factory in Nairobi, highly skilled artisans—paid fair wages and benefits—handcraft each garment with care. Traditional techniques like hand-stitching, embroidery, and beadwork give each piece its unique character and heirloom quality. Custom fabrics are printed at a renowned Italian textile mill, and select pieces are finished in Italy, with a portion of proceeds reinvested into the artisan communities.
Since launch, Eliza Christoph has been worn by remarkable women around the world—including global changemakers—and featured in HBO’s And Just Like That and the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition. After a meaningful pause to grow our families and reflect on the next chapter, we are proud to return with renewed clarity, purpose, and passion.
